merry christmas!

let's all celebrate and receive God's grace, for he sent his one and only son, Jesus down to earth!

i remember christmas use to be just an ordinary day, mom and dad never even bothered with presents. but now i look forward to every year's christmas!

Chengdu Fellowship's christmas event this year was small and simple, but i enjoyed it the most. it makes me realize that the happiest of things can be from the simplest of stuff. a ballroom or a banquet is not the most important, but the presence of the people.

daniel and i made christmas dinner ourselves this year. i remember we ate in Mr. and Mrs Aysh last year because everywhere else was too expensive. and i have to say that we will be continuing this tradition!
although i spent a lot of time and energy on the dinner, i had fun all the way - the planning of the menu, going online to search the best recipes for the menu, grocery shopping, preparing, taking pictures, and finally eating my masterpiece!
in fact, i felt extra happy and a sense of accomplishment.
also, i'm so proud of daniel, he made a pretty darn good aglio olio! i had 3 servings ;) and it would be something i would want him to make again. too bored of his bolognese already. haha!

despite this cold weather which i hate so much and also not being able to be with my family during this festive season, i never felt lonely, and it's all thanks to my friends who had been my family here in chengdu.
